The first phase of randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audi Trail (VVPAT) units for nine Assembly constituencies in Cuddalore district will be carried out on Monday (March 23, 2026) for the Assembly elections on April 23. According to a press release, the exercise will be conducted through computerised randomisation using the Election Commission of India’s website under the supervision of the District Election Officer. The process will take place at 10.30 a.m. at the Cuddalore Collectorate, in the presence of representatives of national and state political parties. Following the randomisation, the machines will be dispatched to the strong rooms in all Assembly constituencies on March 24.
