Stating that there are anomalies in the revision of pension, teachers of Mangalore University who retired after July 1, 2022 and before July 31, 2024 have urged the State government to rectify them. Manjunatha Pattabi, a former chairman of the Department of Materials Science and a retired senior professor, and K.S. Jayappa, a former professor at the Department of Marine Geology at the university, said in a release that any revision of salary or pension and consequent fixation should result in some increase. “To our dismay our pensions have been re-fixed by the university at the same level as it was before revision, following the provisions of the June 30, 2025 order of the State government. The teachers express their resentment over the anomalies causing injustice to us,” the release said.
