The accused involved in the murder of a 17-year-old girl from a village under Kulathur police jurisdiction in Thoothukudi district, who was remanded to the Central Prison in Palayamkottai was shifted to Central Prison in Madurai. M. Dharma Muneeswaran alias Maveeran from Sayalkudi in Thoothukudi district was arrested by Thoothukudi police on Thursday (March 19), and produced before the Special Court for Trial Cases under the POCSO Act in Thoothukudi on Friday (March 20). He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody at the Central Prison in Palayamkottai, but was shifted to Madurai on the same day.
