Senior leader and former MLA from Kalyandurg Assembly Constituency in Anantapur district, Vunnam Hanumantharaya Chowdary, passed away after a prolonged illness on Saturday. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu condoled the demise of Chowdary and recalled that the veteran leader began his public life as a ward member. He later served as a sarpanch, Markfed district president, and as the TDP Anantapur district president for a decade. He was elected as an MLA from Kalyandurg constituency in 2014. BC Welfare Minister S. Savitha, Raptadu MLA Paritala Sunitha, and TDP Anantapur district president and RTC zonal chairman Pula Nagaraju paid tributes to the departed leader and conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family.
