Id-ul-Fitr was celebrated with immense religious fervor and gaiety across Yadgir and Raichur districts on Saturday, marking the culmination of the month-long fasting. Thousands of Muslim community members, including men, women, and children wearing new clothes, offered special morning prayers at mosques and Idgah grounds, sharing greetings and charity. Large congregations gathered for special prayers, emphasizing peace and harmony, at various mosques throughout the district. In addition to prayers, members of the community distributed food, including rice and ghee, as well as monetary aid to the poor and needy. The community marked the festival by wearing new clothes, visiting friends and families, and sharing special, traditional meals. Local community leaders, representatives, and Ministers, including Sharanabasappa Darshanapur and N.S. Boseraju and MLAs Channareddy Patil Tunnur, Sharanagouda Kandkur, and Raja Venugopal Naik, offered greetings, highlighting unity in the region.
