A woman and her daughter were killed after their two-wheeler crashed into a tipper lorry parked on the roadside near Gummidipoondi. A three-year-old girl who was travelling with them survived. The deceased have been identified as Rajakumari, 55, and her daughter Jayaprasanthi, 37, residents of the Sri Lankan Tamil Rehabilitation Camp in Gummidipoondi, Tiruvallur district. They were travelling from Gummidipoondi towards Chennai, along with the child, Raghavarshini.
