Hyderabad Greeting the people of Telangana, ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, Minister for Minority Welfare Mohammad Azharuddin said that the festival would usher in “happiness, success, and progress in every sphere of life for the people of Telangana”. “Eid is a time to share happiness and celebrate together”, he said, even as he pointed out that in the month of Ramzan, by means of fasting and acts of worship, people develop a sense of empathy for their loved ones and those in need, and receive divine blessings and rewards. “The people of Telangana have always celebrated Eid and other festivals together in harmony, which is a strong example of our culture and brotherhood. This tradition is a guarantee of our continued progress,” he said. He underscored that under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the State has been strengthening its secular values. Quoting from Mr. Reddy’s address at the Dawat-e-Iftar on March 15, he said that the CM had affirmed commitment in providing equal opportunities to all citizens.
