VENGADESH Devotees in large numbers pulled the decorated temple cars of the Arulmigu Jambukeswarar Akilandeswari temple at Tiruvanaikoil here on Friday as part of the ongoing Panguni Peruvizha. The annual Panguni festival at this famous temple started with the ‘Mandala Brahmmothsava Kodiyetram’ (hoisting of the holy flag) within the temple premises on February 26.
