Home Minister V. Anitha, along with Yelamanchili MLA Sundarapu Vijayakumar and DIG (Visakha Range) Gopinath Jatti, visited Thammayyapeta in Nakkapalli mandal ahead of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laying the foundation stone for the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM-NS) plant on March 23 in Anakapalli district. District Collector Vijaya Krishnan and Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha accompanied them. During the inspection, the Home Minister reviewed arrangements at the venue, including the stage area, helipad and public meeting venue. She issued instructions to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme. In view of the expected large turnout, she emphasised the need for comprehensive security measures, effective traffic regulation and a proper vehicle parking system. She also directed officials to ensure adequate sanitation facilities at the venue.
