The School Education department has sought feedback from stakeholders on the draft syllabus for Classes I to V, which was uploaded on Tuesday. Teachers, parents, students and activists can send in their feedback on https://tnschools.gov.in until January 25, 2026. People can submit their comments on the curriculum along with their personal details through the online form provided on the website. A high-level expert committee and curriculum design committee were formed under the Chairmanship of School Education Minister to develop a new curriculum and syllabus based on the State Education Policy 2025 for school education. The State Educational Research and Training Institute has developed a curriculum for Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Environmental Science and Social Science subjects from classes I to V.
