A complaint has been filed with the police stating that 100 sovereigns of gold jewellery, 5 kg of silver, and ₹4 lakh in cash have gone missing from the house of a BJP functionary in Red Hills. The complainant, Kushilkumar, resides in Red Hills Bazaar and practices as an advocate. He reported to the police that his valuables kept in a cupboard at his house were missing without any signs of the house lock being broken. Based on the complaint, Red Hills police visited the spot and began an investigation. Fingerprint experts collected samples and police conducted an inquiry. As the complaint claims that the jewellery went missing after the key was used to open the cupboard without breaking the house lock, police are examining whether the complaint has merit. They are also reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas as part of the investigation.
