A 19-year-old boy studying in Government Arts College at Thuvakudi was arrested on Thursday on charges of abusing and assaulting a girl student and her brother, also of the same college, on Wednesday. The arrested student was in the second year of his undergraduation at the college where the girl is a first year UG student. An argument broke out between the second year student and the girl after he accidentally hit her mobile phone while she was going to the first floor to meet her friend on March 9.
