Posters come up in Musiri urging DMK to field a fresh face

Posters have sprung up in Musiri urging the DMK leadership to field a fresh candidate in the Musiri Assembly constituency instead of renominating MLA Kaduvetti N. Thiyagarajan.

The posters, bearing the names of some functionaries of Musiri, have been pasted in different parts of the town. The posters read that fresh faces belonging to the Mutharaiyar community should be given an opportunity to ensure that the DMK retained the constituency. A favourable decision should be taken considering the success of the party and the welfare and the growth of the people belonging to Mutharaiyar community, they read.

Mr. Thiyagarajan, who is the district (Tiruchi North) secretary of the DMK, is seeking renomination from the party.
