Farmers who submitted applications for agriculture electricity connection under tatkal scheme in December last year in Coimbatore north circle claim that the connections were given only to those who paid the amount by 10.40 a.m. on December 17, 2025 while in some areas in the district the connections were given to farmers who had paid the amount till 3.29 p.m. on December 17, 2025. P. Kandasamy, general secretary of the farmers association (apolitical), said in a press release that applications were received across the State till 3.30 p.m. on December 18. 2025. The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation should give electricity connection to all farmers who submitted application and paid the tatkal amount.
