Election observers appointed for Tiruchi district

The Election Commission has appointed six general observers, an equal number of expenditure observers and a police observer to monitor the conduct of the elections to the nine Assembly constituencies in Tiruchi district.

The officers are from the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Revenue Service, and the Indian Police Service, respectively.

The following officers will be the General Observers: Tiruchi West – Jagdish Prasad Meena (Mobile: 6381137496); Srirangam – Joram Beda (6380128857); Manapparai and Tiruverumbur – KVN.Chakradhar Babu (6381279675); Musiri and Thuraiyur – Bijay Kumar Dash (6381550233); Lalgudi and Manachanallur – Praveen Kumar Laxkar (6381157062); and Tiruchi East – Madhusmita Sahoo (6381238681).

Expenditure Observers:

Tiruchi West – Vivek Upadhyay (6381277984) ; Manapparai – Anunay Bhati (6381538041); Musiri and Thuraiyur – Ajit Kumar Nirala (6383946421); Lalgudi and Manachanallur – Radhe Krishna (6381261169); Srirangam – Abhinav Ujjainia (6383914108); and Tiruchi East – Bal Krishnan Gopal (6383903295).

Abhay Singh (6381273596) will be the Police Observer for the district, according to a press release.

On Thursday, the Observers held a consultative meeting with Collector and District Election Officer V. Saravanan and other officials to review the arrangements for the elections and the implementation of the model code of conduct.
