Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh Narayanan on Wednesday (March 18) raised concerns in the Telangana Legislative Assembly over the lack of adequate community infrastructure in his constituency, highlighting the difficulties faced by poor and middle-class residents in organising social and family events. During the Question Hour, the MLA pointed out that a large section of the Cantonment population lives in small settlements and depends heavily on affordable public spaces for functions such as birthdays, marriages and other community gatherings. In the absence of sufficient community halls, residents are often forced to rely on private function halls, leading to increased financial burden.
