The new District Police Office (DPO) of Annamayya district was inaugurated at Madanapalle on Wednesday (March 18).

Deputy Inspector-General (DIG-Kurnool) Koya Praveen inaugurated the facility, located on the focal Bengaluru Road near the Race Course grounds. District Collector Nishant Kumar, Superintendent of Police Dheeraj Kunubilli, senior officials from various government departments and local leaders were present.

The DIG, along with the Collector and SP, inspected various sections of the office, including administrative wings and record rooms, after receiving a ceremonial guard of honour from the Armed Reserve police.

Speaking at a function held on this occasion, the DIG termed the new office “a milestone for the Annamayya district police”, highlighting that it is equipped with improved infrastructure and modern technology to enhance crime detection, monitoring and public grievance redressal. He called for the need for officers to work with dedication and uphold public trust.
