Election flying squads and police at Sindhamani Pudhur tollgate intercepted an omni bus on Wednesday and found around 255 grams of gold being carried without proper documentation, valued at approximately ₹37.3 lakh. According to officials, the passenger, who raised suspicion by giving inconsistent statements, was identified as the son of Muthu Sudhan Rana, residing in the Mangala Jewellery building on Sidhi Vinayagar Temple Street, Coimbatore.
