VELANKANNI RAJ Moving ahead with its goal to provide 24-hour uninterrupted and equitable piped water supply, Chennai Metrowater is finalising a detailed project report covering more parts of Adyar zone under phase II of the project. While work has commenced for areas, including Besant Nagar, Adyar, Taramani, and Thiruvanmiyur covered by Pallipattu and Thiruvanmiyur water distribution station, the water agency has proposed to expand the project to ensure continuous piped water supply to other parts of Adyar zone and Kodambakkam zone. It has implemented a pilot project in one ward at Valasaravakkam.
