ASHOK Madurai Collector K.J. Praveen Kumar and Commissioner of Police J. Loganathan have instructed the Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs) to check maximum number of vehicles to prevent transporting of contraband, cash and gifts in the run-up to Assembly election on April 23. The officials inspected the functioning of the SSTs at Sellur. The SST officials were advised to focus on frisking the driver, passengers and riders and checking the vehicles for contrabands and gifts.
