Twenty-Point Programme Implementation Committee Chairman Lanka Dinakar on Tuesday (March 17, 2026) stated that Annamayya should strive to become a leading district in achieving the goals of “Swarna Andhra and Viksit Bharat”, particularly in agriculture, education, and healthcare sectors.

Addressing the media after a review meeting held at Madanapalle Collectorate on Tuesday, Mr. Dinakar urged all the departments to work with commitment and accountability to achieve these goals.

In the education sector, Mr. Dinakar pointed out that the dropout rates reduced due to “Thalliki Vandanam” and “Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal” schemes. He said Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) are being effectively used to improve quality of education and school facilities. Around 1.17 lakh students in 2,129 schools are receiving nutritious mid-day meals, he said, adding that educational kits, uniforms, and study materials are being distributed under “Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan”.

He stated that officials must understand the true spirit of government schemes and ensure their effective implementation. He emphasised that with coordinated efforts, Annamayya district can overcome backwardness and emerge as a model district, contributing significantly to the vision of “Swarna Andhra–Viksit Bharat”.
