Finnish health tech company Oura enters into India with Ring 4 launch | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Finnish health tech company Oura Health has officially entered into India and launched its first smart ring, Oura Ring 4, in the country. It will be competing with Noise, and Ultrahuman smart rings in the country. Oura claims that it has done the state of sleep 2026 study in the Indian market and noted that “Indians’ ultra-connected, fast-paced lives are at odds with getting great sleep.” The report found that India is among the shortest-sleeping populations in the Oura global dataset, with Oura members in India averaging 6 hours and 28 minutes of sleep per night which is around 40 minutes less than the longest-sleeping countries. The report finds that Indians get the lowest amount of Rapid Eye Movement (REM) and deep sleep in the world, losing over an hour of REM sleep a week compared to the global average. Oura Ring 4 claims to track more than 50 health and wellness metrics, and notifies through the Oura App (iOS and Android). It is powered by Oura Smart Sensing technology, Oura Ring uses smart algorithms and research-grade sensors that adjust to each person’s unique body, including finger shape, skin tone, and other individual differences. Oura Ring 4 is made of titanium with recessed sensors for 24/7 comfort, including during sleep. It is available in 12 sizes (4–15) and six colours: Black, Silver, Stealth, Brushed Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold. Oura Ring 4 will be available at Croma stores, and Amazon, from March 18. It costs ₹28,900 for the Silver and Black shades and ₹39,900 for Stealth, Brushed Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold colours. The Oura membership costs ₹599 per month.
