Actor Kamal Haasan extends wishes to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan ahead of elections

Actor, Rajya Sabha MP and founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), Kamal Haasan, on Tuesday extended wishes for success to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala. In a post shared in his X account, the actor also wrote about his emotional attachment to the State.

“Wishing Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan, Vijayam. I wish the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, all the very best for the upcoming election. Above all, I feel that the state, Keralam, is also ende Keralam. Even if some, in their exclusive mindset, attribute an outsider status to me, I remain emotionally attached to Keralam. Hence, I would urge the beneficiaries of that state (which includes me) to reflect on the past decade and wish him well. Let us make the right decision. Comrade Vijayan vijayikkatte. Keralamum Vijayikkum,” wrote Mr. Haasan.

Mr. Vijayan in his reply posted in X thanked the actor for his wishes and constant support.

In our land of secularism and brotherhood, no one is ever an outsider. We are moving forward with our focus firmly on the people’s welfare and real development. Together, let’s keep the progressive spirit alive. And yes, Keralam will definitely win!” wrote Mr. Vijayan.
