TDP indulging in ‘credit theft’ of Bhogapuram airport alleges YSRCP

Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad chairperson and YSR Congress Party president Majji Srinivasa Rao on Tuesday credited former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for the construction of the international airport at Bhogapuram. He alleged that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was indulging in ‘credit theft’ after the successful validation of the first flight on January 4, 2026.

Addressing the media, he recalled saying that GMR chairman Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao had praised Mr. Jagan for completing the land acquisition, getting all permissions from the Centre for construction and developing infrastructure such as roads, water and other facilities for the airport during the foundation ceremony held in January, 2023.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that the airport is now ready for operations due to the excellent support extended by the then Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government, despite this the ruling NDA has failed to provide road connectivity from all routes.
