MANJUNATH Kadri Park will host the three-day ‘Kala Parba’ art fair, part of Karavali Utsav, starting January 9. Organised by Sharadi Prathisthana, the fair will include an exhibition and sale of artwork and sculptures as well as cultural programmes. Addressing press persons on January 6, on behalf of the Prathisthana, senior artist Ganesh Somayaji said there will be 150 stalls by 150 artists who will participate from across the State. About 10,000 artworks will be exhibited during the three days. There will also be an exhibition of photographs. The cultural programmes in the evening will feature Bharatanatyam (on January 9), a flute concert and Yakshagana on January 10 and Yakshagana on January 11. There will be an interaction with artists on January 10 at 11 a.m. This will be followed by rangoli and drawing competitions. The event will also include a demonstration on making sculptures at 11 a.m. on January 11. This will be followed by a mehendi drawing competition and street play.
