Man kills partner, ends life in Tirupati

A man allegedly killed his partner and later ended his own life at Korlagunta locality in Tirupati district on Tuesday.

The person, identified as Somasekhar hailing from Guthivaripalle village in Renigunta mandal, used to deliver gas refills at households. He met a woman named Lakshmi living in his locality at this time and the two later became close.

According to Tirupati East Circle Inspector V. Srinivasulu, the two had been in an extramarital affair since sometime. On Monday night, he invited Lakshmi to his house, slit her throat and killed her in a fit of rage. Later he reportedly ended his life in his room. The local police rushed to the spot after being informed by the neighbours and shifted the bodies for postmortem.
