Residents have called for speedy execution of works as the lakes are key sources of irrigation and drinking water. CPRR (Section-I), which passes through Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu districts, is being laid across the nine waterbodies in Minjur block. These tanks include those in Nallur, Vannipakkam, Amoor, Kalpakkam, Neidavoyal, and Voyalur Mamanikal.
