As temperature begins to rise, an air-conditioned bus shelter has been set up at Sulur in Coimbatore district, a move that has been welcomed by commuters who wait for buses in the heat. The shelter, built at a cost of ₹12 lakh, was inaugurated on Wednesday (March 11). According to officials, the facility was established by the Sulur Town Panchayat with corporate social responsibility (CSR) support from LG Multi-Speciality Hospital, which contributed ₹7 lakh. The remaining amount was met from the local body fund.
