Statues of political leaders covered, grievance redress meeting cancelled in Salem

As the election model code of conduct (MCC) came into force, political party leaders’ statues were covered, and weekly grievances redress day meeting was cancelled in the district on Monday.

Statues of leaders at Anna Park and other public places were covered by clothes. The local body workers removed the banners and posters of parties in various parts of the district.
