District Election Officer and Collector S. Kandasamy said a total of 144 teams, including 72 flying squads and 72 static surveillance teams, have been deployed in the district to monitor violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during the election period.

In a release, the Collector said the teams will function round-the-clock in shifts. Each team will comprise personnel from the police, revenue and other departments, with 576 personnel engaged in the monitoring work on a rotational basis. A videographer will accompany each team to record and document the monitoring activities.

Members of the public can also lodge complaints through the cVIGIL mobile application, which enables quick action on election code violations.

For election-related complaints, the public may contact the toll-free number 1800 425 0424, send messages via WhatsApp to 90425 80535, or call the District Election Control Room at 0424-2267670, 2267673, 2267674, 2267675 and 2267679.

Complaints can also be sent via email to controlroomerd2026@gmail.com. The district election control room will function round-the-clock throughout the election period, the Collector added.
