RAJESH Following the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, removal of wall graffiti and banners belonging to political parties has intensified across Thoothukudi district. As directed by the Election Commission, posters, banners and other modes of advertisements displayed by the political parties on government premises and buildings must be removed in 24 hours. Those placed in public places such as buildings, bus stands and railway stations must be removed within 48 hours, while those on private premises and buildings must be removed within 72 hours.
