Festive atmosphere prevailed on the banks of Godavari river as the Sri Sita Rama Chandra Swamy Devastanam celebrated Nadi Harathi programme on a grand scale at Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday evening. According to sources, the event was organised coinciding with Ekadasi on Sunday. Ganapathi puja and Deepotsavam marked the ‘Nadi Harathi’. A cultural programme titled ‘Nadopasana’ was organised under the aegis of the Hyderabad-based Sri Vagdevi Kala Samithi late in the evening in the temple town. The event featured Kuchipudi dance, Carnatic music concert and other devotional programmes. Bhadrachalam MLA Dr. Tellam Venkat Rao, sarpanch Punem Ramakrishna and others were present.
