Amid rising tensions in West Asia that have pushed up global energy prices, hotels and small eateries in Tiruchi have begun altering their menu because of disruptions in commercial LPG supply.

Hotel owners say the shortage of LPG, along with a sharp spike in prices in the private market, has forced several establishments to scale down dishes.
