Flying squad teams flagged off in Theni: Collector

Flagging off the flying squad teams shortly after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the poll schedule, Theni District Collector-cum-Returning Officer Ranjith Singh said on Sunday that they have deployed adequate manpower across all the four districts as per the ECI guidelines.

The model code of conduct (MCC) has come into existence and all the norms would be strictly adhered to by the poll officials, he said and added that the district, which has four Assembly Constituencies – Andipatti, Periakulam (Res), Bodinayakannur and Cumbum, has been provided with Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers.
