In a release, Principal District and Sessions Judge H.J. Marulasiddaradhya has stated that 103 pending cases and 244 pre-litigation cases came up before his court and all were settled amicably. As many as 24 cases have been settled before the I Additional District and Sessions Court and the II Additional District and Sessions Court (sitting at Shorapur). In Yadgir, a total of 353 cases were settled before the Senior Civil Judge Court, 692 cases before the Principal Civil and JMFC and 716 cases before the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC. In Shahapur, a total of 509 cases were settled before the Civil Judge, 1,958 cases before the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC and 1,174 cases were settled before the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC. In Shorapur, a total of 370 cases were settled before the Civil Judge, 1,012 cases before the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC and 666 cases were settled before the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC. Among the cases settled, there were two money recovery suits, 27 partition suits, five specific performance suits, one final decree petition, 20 cheque bounce cases, 16 execution petitions, 36 cases of motor vehicle accidents, seven maintenance cases, two domestic violence cases, 4,942 birth and death petitions, 10 compoundable cases, 2,337 petty cases and 172 other offences. As many as 10 benches in all courts across the district were established to settle cases with the consent of both parties and in the presence of advocates representing them, Mr. Marulasiddaradhya said.
