Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) official spokesperson Charan Kaushik Yadav said that the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is neither biased towards nor against anyone in its efforts to curb the growing drug menace in the State. In a statement here on on Sunday, Mr. Charan stated that the allegations made by Mr. Revanth Reddy, while he was in the Opposition, regarding rampant drug usage under the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, had been proven right following the recent raid on a farmhouse owned by former BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy and the subsequent filing of an FIR against 11 individuals. “Six of them tested positive for drugs,” he claimed. Mr. Charan Kaushik further claimed that BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao’s brother-in-law, Raj Pakala, had also been involved in a drug-related case. He said that the government had allocated ₹50 crore to the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, which has been renamed EAGLE (Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement). He added that drugs worth ₹172.93 crore were seized in 2025, compared to ₹116.33 crore seized in 2024.
