In a broad-daylight incident, a 24-year-old woman was hacked to death by her husband at Tirunelveli Junction bus stand on Sunday. According to police, Pechiammal, a native of Kazhuthurutty in Kollam district near Tamil Nadu – Kerala border, was assaulted with a sickle by her husband C. Sudhakar, 29, from Palamadai in Tirunelveli district. The couple had two children and had been living separately due to marital differences. In this situation, Sudhakar allegedly followed Pechiammal from Vannarpetti and hacked her to death at Tirunelveli junction bus stand.
