Sivaganga custodial death: Manamadurai PS inspector transferred to Tirunelveli

In the case involving the death of a Scheduled Caste youth during a police inquiry, the Manamadurai Police Inspector and a Special Branch Constable have been transferred.

As Akash Delison, 26, who was arrested in connection with a case involving the hacking of two laborers on the night of March 5, died during police custody, Ramanathapuram Deputy Inspector General of Police N. Manivannan ordered for the suspension of six members of the special team that arrested Akash Delison—Thiruppuvanam Inspector Dileepan, Manamadurai Sub-Inspector Guhan, and Constables Deivendran, Sarathkumar, Kaleeswaran, and Manoharan.
