The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has directed the State government to appoint S. Thiruppathi who belongs to the Arunthathiyar community to the post of Health Inspector in four weeks. The court said he had lost 17 valuable years of service. The court was hearing an appeal filed by the State against a Single Bench order that allowed a petition filed by S. Thiruppathi of Tenkasi district who had sought a direction to the State to appoint him to the post of Health Inspector.
