Siva Saravanan Residents of Ward 27 in Duraisamy Layout, Peelamedu, have raised concerns over an ongoing storm water drain project, alleging that construction began without removing encroachments that have narrowed the road. According to the residents, following long-standing requests, a portion of the storm water drain project was approved in October 2025, and construction work commenced on February 19, 2026. However, on the 30-ft road connecting Duraisamy Layout to Avarampalayam Road, the entrance near the main road has been reduced to around 21 ft due to encroachments on both sides.
