The demand to get a PU institution for the sake of the students who wish to pursue PU-level studies is now fulfilled, Channareddy Patil Tunnur, MLA, said. | Image for representational purpose | Photo Credit: File photo The Department of School Education and Literacy (PU) has given administrative approval to upgrade four high schools in Yadgir and Raichur to PU colleges by this academic year. The government high schools at Doranahalli village in Shahapur taluk (Yadgir Assembly Constituency), Kandkur village at Gurmitkal taluk in Yadgir district, Idapanur at Raichur taluk, and Tiligol at Sindhanur taluk of Raichur district will be upgraded, the order said. There were many demands made by the general public over the years for the upgradation of these high schools. Channareddy Patil Tunnur, MLA, has expressed happiness about the government’s approval.
