A 24-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death by his father at Mettupatti Thadhanur under the Veeranam police station limits in Salem city on Friday night (March 13, 2026). The police said C. Kamaraj, 60, a farmer, lived with his family at Kattuvallavu. His son, Suriya Prakash, was unemployed and had allegedly been involved in theft cases. He had recently been released on bail after being arrested in a theft case on February 9.
