MOORTHY Ahead of the announcement of dates for the Assembly elections, the personnel of the Tiruchi City Police along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who were drafted for the election duty, began vehicle checks in different parts of the city on Saturday. A team of personnel carried out an intensive vehicle checks at Sempattu on the Tiruchi-Pudukottai Highway. They checked the vehicles whether they were carrying unaccounted cash or articles. Similarly, they checked the vehicles in different entry points of the city.
