Minister for Revenue and Housing Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has reiterated that one lakh Indiramma houses will be completed across the State by this month end. In the second phase of the flagship housing scheme, the State government will take up another round of Indiramma houses in April, the Minister said, adding that all the eligible poor people will be provided Indiramma houses in a phased manner all over the State. He was speaking after laying foundation stones for various road works in Kamepalli mandal of Khammam district on Friday. Mr. Reddy accused the BRS rulers of failing to deliver on their promise of providing double-bedroom houses to the homeless poor people during their two-terms at the helm of the State. The Congress government immediately after coming to power sanctioned 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses in the very first year, he said. Yellandu MLA Koram Kanakaiah and others accompanied the Minister.
