Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the first phase of the western ring (bypass) road in Coimbatore on Friday. The ₹250-crore work involved acquisition of 131 acres in five revenue villages. A four-lane road for 11.8 km, two vehicle underpasses, and culverts are all part of the project. The entire bypass will run for a total distance of 32.43 km connecting Madukkarai and Narasimhanaickenpalayam.
