The Belagavi district administration has banned the use of high-volume loudspeakers and Disc Jockey (DJ) sound systems. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan has issued orders prohibiting the use of DJ systems and sound amplification devices that emit excessive noise during festivals, processions and public programs across the district. No system producing noise exceeding 75 decibels will be allowed. The restrictions are in place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The authorities will be enabled to take over equipment and file cases if there are violations. This order has been issued to maintain public peace, health and law and order, said a release.
