MoU with Velammal Medical College and Hospital to benefit patients in semi-urban areas

In a major initiative of public – private partnership, the Madurai Corporation and Velammal Medical College and Hospital have come together to treat people residing in semi-urban areas through mobile vehicle unit.

Flagging off the mobile vehicle unit on Friday, Corporation Commissioner Chitra Vijayan and her team of officers from the Health department said that the MoU signed with the Velammal Hospital would help identify health related issues in semi-urban pockets, viz, those in the added wards of Madurai city.
