A total of 51,744 students will appear for the SSLC examination-1 for the 2025-26 academic year, scheduled from March 18 to April 2, at 141 examination centres across Kalaburagi district.

The authorities have directed officials to maintain strict vigilance to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly and free from malpractice, warning that strict action will be taken if any irregularities are reported.

To ensure effective monitoring, one local vigilance member has been appointed for each one of the 141 examination centres.

Additionally, 53 officials have been designated as route officers for the secure distribution of question papers.

As part of precautionary measures, prohibitory orders have been imposed within a 200-metre radius of examination centres and photocopying and bookshops in the vicinity have been directed to remain closed during the examination hours.

The authorities have instructed centre heads to ensure that basic infrastructure such as electricity, drinking water and adequate seating arrangements are available at all examination centres.

It has also been emphasised that students should not be made to sit on the floor while writing the examination.

Police personnel will be deployed at the entrance of each examination centre to conduct checks.

CCTV, webcasting

The use of mobile phones and all other electronic devices has been strictly prohibited inside examination centres.

The examination will be conducted under CCTV surveillance and webcasting will be carried out from the district headquarters for real-time monitoring.

As many as 25 monitoring teams have been formed and assigned to various examination centres across the district to oversee the conduct of the examination.
