Mr. Kavalikatti addressed the officials at a training programme organised for them by the Department of School Education in Shivamogga on Friday (March 13). The examinations will be held at 79 centres across the district from March 18 to April 4. The department has constituted 31 teams of officers to carry question papers to examination centres. The officials should ensure the examination centre has a drinking water facility and proper seating arrangements, preventing any confusion among students, the Deputy Commissioner said. The district administration has installed CCTV cameras in all centres to avoid malpractice. The officers have conducted mock drills to ensure smooth webcasting, he said, and asked officers to re-check if internet and UPS systems were working. The distant administration has clamped prohibitory orders within 200 m around the centres. Students are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets inside the examination hall, he added. Shivamogga Zilla Panchayat CEO N. Hemanth said that the administration had made all arrangements to ensure smooth examinations. “All officials engaged for exam duty should be at designated place on time and ensure exams are conducted without any untoward incident,” he said. Superintendent of Police B. Nikhil and officers of the School Education Department were present.
