A man who helped notorious gangster ‘Sambhav’ Senthil to escape from the city a few years ago was detained by Immigration officials upon his arrival from Malaysia at Chennai airport. The suspect, identified as Mohammad Rizwan Ali, was intercepted based on a ‘Look Out Circular’ issued by the investigating officer in the BSP leader Armstrong murder case. Police said Rizwan Ali allegedly assisted the key accused, Sambhav Senthil, in obtaining a passport, visa and other documents to facilitate his escape abroad. He will be taken into police custody for further interrogation as part of the ongoing investigation.
